About Keynote…

The Keynote team are here to help you right the way through your mortgage journey – we pride ourselves on always providing a professional service; we will listen to your requirements and match you with the best deals from the ‘whole-market’ that meet with your needs.

Our advisers work closely with a whole range of providers, building relationships with them so that you can be assured that their advice is valid and current after all, there’s a lot at stake as choosing a mortgage is probably one of the biggest commitments you will ever make!

Whether it’s just initial mortgage queries, or you want to ascertain whether you can have a mortgage in principle, we are here to help. With your mortgage outlined in principle, you can search for your ideal property with the knowledge that your mortgage has already been sourced.

We’ve already helped many happy clients with their mortgage, insurance and protection requirements, so let us help you with yours.

Meet our Team

We have a small team of experienced staff who pride themselves on the quality of service and attention to detail! Meet our key members below:

Martin Woodhead

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Martin has been helping to arrange mortgages for people since 2008 progressing through a myriad of jobs (including paper rounds as a boy!) to eventually settling down as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor in his early thirties.

Martin loves meeting new people and he also enjoys guiding them through the home buying process – he feels that it is a privileged position to be in when clients put their trust in him to help make one of the biggest transactions of their lifetime.

So whether it’s helping a first time buyer onto the property ladder or an investor purchase their first Buy-to-Let property Martin still gets the same huge sense of satisfaction when a mortgage is agreed by the lender or when solicitors confirm the purchase has gone through and the keys can be collected!

Outside of work Martin enjoys spending time with his family and friends and travelling (Britain & overseas). His sport interests include football, tennis, surfing & golf.

Charlotte Byrne

Senior Administrator

Charlotte has been working as a Paraplanner* in financial services for the past 17 years; the first 10 of these years, she was specialising in the ‘adverse credit’ market.

Over the years, Charlotte has gained a great understanding and vast knowledge of buying property and covering all aspects that come with providing mortgage services i.e., keeping updated with ‘whole market’ services such as secure loans, protection related insurance, general insurances.

Through her work, Charlotte also builds strong relationships with Solicitors and Estate Agents, and will be happy to provide advice on local services too so that your property purchase requirements are suitably covered.

*A Paraplanner carries out several tasks that are necessary for developing and reviewing customers’ financial plans and is a necessary part of any quality financial planning team admin.

David Mannion

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Dave loves meeting new people and assisting them with their search for the right kind of mortgage that meet their specific needs.

He really enjoys helping to make people happy and being able to secure them their perfect property.

Throughout the process, he aims to build long-term / lasting relationships with clients so that he can be on hand to guide them through the mortgage process whenever they look to move house or re-mortgage – now or in the future!

Away from work Dave enjoys watching and playing football, walking the dog and anything he can get up to whilst being amongst his family and friends!

Joanne Matthews

Administrator

Joanne (Jo for short), is one of our experienced mortgage administrators. Part of the team, she will happily provide support for clients throughout their mortgage journey.

Once our Mortgage Advisers have helped you choose the right mortgage for your needs, Jo will be introduced into the buying process – Jo knows how stressful the home buying experience can be for some clients, so she will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout the application and to make sure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

Outside of the office Jo is kept busy by her two daughters and a dog;  to relax, Jo enjoys spending many hours pounding the pavements around her local area and climbing big hills around the Peak District.

Jo said (lightheartedly) “I’ve also reached a stage in my life when I get excited on the day the garden waste bin gets emptied – so I can mow the lawn and fill it up again.”
